I strongly dislike Selena Gomez.
I never have liked her, and never really will, and I have no respect for Selena Gomez, and now I really, really don't like her.
Selena Gomez is filming a new music video for her new song, 'Love You Like a Song', on a beach. That all sounds so stereotypically Selena Gomez, but this next part sounds like Lady Gaga: Selena Gomez is using painted horses.
This is a horrible, immoral act, and if she thinks this is some kind of art, she is utterly incorrect. From what I've seen, in the music video of 'Paparazzi' by Lady Gaga, there is a deleted sequence where Gaga sits astride a white horse with black polka-dots on its fur, and a purple mane. This has not bugged me nearly as much as Selena Gomez painting the horses' full bodies in purple. PETA, the animal-rights-activism agency, has also spoken out against Selena's usage of paint on a horse, and how horses can have horrid allergic reactions to this.
Selena Gomez, take this as a lesson that you are not Lady Gaga, and even Lady Gaga doesn't paint a horse all purple.

Switching Perspectives
For a long while, my book was told from first person. Then, after about three years, it switched to third person. Recently, I switched it back to first person-rotating perspective, and now I'm changing it back to third person.
To me, the perspective a story is told from is highly important to the storyline. If the storyline is told from first person, you have a bit more insight into the plot and the main character. For instance, take The Hunger Games for example. The main character, and narrator, Katniss Everdeen, tells the story from present tense and first person. You never know what's going to happen, because you witness the events, literally through Katniss's eyes as she experiences them. That increases suspense in a type of novel that thrives on suspense. In Harry Potter, the story is told from third person-omniscient. We see things only from Harry's perspective, not through his eyes, but we focus in on his thoughts. It's like there's a secretary in his brain, feeding the reader information. Say Hermione tells Harry she is going to research something about a hippogriff, we won't know that information until Hermione tells Harry.
With perspectives that tell from the future-tense, reflecting on the past, it can be assumed that a character may live, or suspenseful events may have a positive outcome. Some event-outcomes may be predicted through prior knowledge, as can present-tense ones.
I am changing my novel to third person-omniscient, as I desire to keep the reader locked on the main character, Will, and his thoughts, feelings, and memories, without actually being in his shoes.

Uganda
Uganda is punishing citizens for homosexuality.
This issue is one that has been about for years, but you can help stop it. Visit this link to sign the petition to help stop abuse in Uganda.
The topic of homosexuality is very sensitive and near to me. I have loved ones that are gay, and when I found out they were, all the stereotypes were washed from my eyes. I knew everyone should be treated equal, and if it has been done before, it can be done now.

French Going-away Party?
So tomorrow in French class, our student teacher Mademoiselle Barnett is leaving. My class, along with all of the other French classes, are throwing separate parties for her! Today, I came up with the idea that we each write our own cards to her and place them in a basket, and we would send her off on a scavenger hunt to find them. At the end of the hunt, she would find all of the students in the back lot of the school, waiting for her with croissants, soda, cookie cake, etc. Sounds fun, right? Uhh...yeah! Of course it sounds fun!
French has had a major impact on me this year. It was my first year of taking a foreign language besides Spanish, and I do want to spend a lot of time in my life in France. I know that Spanish is a language that is more commonly used besides English, but if I am going to live in Europe, specifically the U.K., I think it would be healthier for me to learn French.
I know this is my first blog post on this blog, so I'll tell you what it's all about. Basically, I'm going to be writing about my writing process for the book that I'm writing. If I have new ideas, I'll post them here. If I move on, professionally-wise, I'll inform the readers! I'll also be talking about books and writing in today's society, and do polls about your favorite books or authors, or your plans for writing a book.
If you have any potential thoughts on plots, characters, settings, conflicts, and all the like, let me know!
